Sallyann's Bio

Sallyann graduated in 2008 from University College Cork (UCC) with a BA (Hons) degree in Speech and Language Therapy. Since then Sallyann has worked in a variety of settings in both London and more recently Melbourne Australia, where she has been working for the last 3 years as a Senior Speech and Language Therapist. 



Sallyann is an enthusiastic and hardworking Speech and Language Therapist who prides herself on focusing her therapy on the client and family's needs. She adopts a personable approach to build rapport and is holistic in her intervention strategies to achieve the clients' goals. Sallyann specialises in assessment and intervention of children & adolescents with Autism/Asperger Syndrome, Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Early Intervention, mild to severe Intellectual Disability as well as Speech and Language delay/disorders. She is Dysphagia trained and has additional training in PECS, Makaton, Intensive Interaction, and a variety of Augmentative and Assistive Technology (AAC) systems.


Sallyann is registered with CORU and is a full member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT). While working overseas she was an active and certified member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and Speech Pathology Australia (SPA). 


Most important to Sallyann is that therapy should be fun, engaging and functional, in order to achieve the best outcomes for the client and their families.
